Getting here
By Plane
To quickest and easiest way to get to Vieques is by plane. All major airlines fly into San Juan International Airport (SJU). From SJU you can catch a connecting flight to Vieques Airport (VQS) from Cape Air (Terminal D) or Seaborne Airlines (Terminal B) for the under 30 minute flight.
For a less expensive option -or if you are coming from Old San Juan- flying out of the smaller Isla Grande Airport (SIG) via Vieques Airlink or Air Flamenco works well. There are often more frequent daily flights and it's only a 10/15 minutes taxi ride from SJU.
Another great option if you are coming from the eastern parts of the main island or from the larger beach resorts is flying Vieques Airlink from the Ceiba airport (RVR). This is the same town as the ferry terminal, so it's not close to SJU but the flights are usually only $40 each way and take less than 10 minutes. Additionally airport parking here is just $5 a day, so if you rented a car in San Juan to include time on the main island before coming to Vieques, you can leave your car at the Ceiba airport safely and cheaply.
By Ferry
The Ferry is located in Fajardo on the northeastern coast of the main island and is approximately 90 minutes by car/taxi. Most taxis from SJU charge approx. $80 per van. Some add additional charges of approx. $5 per person. The ferry tickets are $2 pp, so if you're traveling in a group, and don't mind seeing some of the main island on your way to Vieques, this may be a good option for you. The ferry ride to Vieques from Ceiba takes about 90 minutes.
The departure/ arrival times change so be sure to check the schedule frequently.
Buying tickets ahead of time online is strongly suggested. Make sure you pre-pay for items like luggage at the same time as you buy your ticket online or you'll need to wait at the ticket window and pay for them when you arrive. (Note: only 20% of tickets are allowed to be sold online ahead of time. If you reach the window and it says "sold out" that usually means same-day tickets are still available.)
Car Rentals
It is strongly advised that you rent a Jeep or golf cart/s during your stay, and book as soon as possible after making your reservation with us. Jeeps sell out the fastest and during high season rental vehicles can be near impossible to find at the last minute.

Upon Arrival
Our Property Manager, Aurelio Perez, will pick you and your party up from either the VQS airport or the ferry terminal and bring you either directly to the house, or to your car rental location. From there he will hand off the keys, show you the house and be available should the need arise during your stay.
